Most wheels come in for one of these
- Kerb rash — gouged and scuffed rim edges filled and reshaped, not just painted over.
- Corrosion — white oxide bubbling under the lacquer, common on older and winter-used wheels.
- Peeling lacquer — cloudy, flaking or milky patches that only get worse once they start.
- Cracks — welded and re-profiled where the wheel is safe to save.
- Buckles — straightened out where a pothole has pulled the rim out of true.
- Odd wheel out — one damaged wheel matched back to the other three.
Straight answers before you book
Not every wheel is worth saving, and we'll tell you when a replacement is the better buy. If a crack sits somewhere that can't be safely welded, we won't weld it.
Wheels can be dropped off loose or left on the car. Loose wheels are usually cheaper and easier to schedule; leave the car with us and you get them refitted and balanced.
Locking wheel nut key: bring it. Without it, the wheels aren't coming off.

Six stages, no shortcuts
The order matters. This is what your wheels go through between drop-off and collection.
Inspect
Each wheel checked for cracks, buckles and hidden corrosion so there are no surprises halfway through.
Strip
All existing paint and lacquer removed. Refinishing over failing lacquer is the single most common reason a cheap refurb lifts.
Repair
Damage filled, welded or straightened, then reshaped so the rim edge follows its original line.
Prep & prime
Flatted, cleaned and primed — the stage that decides whether the finish looks flat and even in daylight.
Colour
Your finish applied across the full set together so all four match rather than drifting slightly apart.
Lacquer, cure & refit
Sealed, hardened off, then refitted and balanced if the car is with us.
What finish do you want back?
A refurb doesn't have to mean the colour you started with. Try a few options — gloss black, anthracite, bronze — and see what suits your car.
Currently showing Gloss black wheels with Brake red callipers. Any colour you want, in gloss, satin or matt — these are just the popular ones.
Common questions
How long does a refurb take?
Most sets are turned around in a couple of days, depending on how much repair work is needed and how busy we are. Call for current availability before you plan around it.
Can you do just one wheel?
Yes. Single wheels are common — we match the finish to the other three so it doesn't stand out.
Will the repair be visible?
On a properly stripped and refinished wheel, no. Kerb damage is filled and reshaped before any colour goes on, so you're not looking at paint over a gouge.
Can you save a cracked wheel?
Often, yes. It depends where the crack is. Cracks in places that can't be safely welded are a replacement, and we'll say so rather than take the money.
Do I need to leave the car?
Not necessarily. You can drop wheels off loose, which is usually the cheaper option. Leave the car with us and we'll refit and balance them for you.
